Applicability in ASME BPVC & Temperature Limits

ASTM A182 F60 large foring

A nonstandard welding neck flange with self-reinforced nozzle made from ASTM A182/ ASME SA-182 Gr. F60 (S32205) forging. The flange is used for construction of a filter vessel made in accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1.

Forgings made from ASTM A182 Gr. F60 (UNS S32205), identical with ASME SA-182 Gr. F60, can be used for the construction of boilers and pressure vessels in accordance with ASME BPVC Section III, Section VIII Division 1, Section XII, and Section VIII Division 2, with maximum temperature limits of 600°F, 600°F, 600°F, and 400°F, respectively. Moreover, since ASTM A182 Gr. F60 was listed in Table UHA-23 of ASME BPVC Section VIII Division 1 (2019 version), the minimum design temperature shall be -20°F [-29°C] when it is used for the construction of VIII-1 pressure vessels.
